February 2017. Another month has come and gone entirely too quickly. Like literally, weren't we just counting down the days until Christmas?

Even though it was the shortest month of the year, it was jam packed with things to do and people to see.

If you know me, then you know that I'm a football girl!! Surprisingly though, I wasn't super excited about the Super Bowl this time around. 1) Because I'm beyond over the Tom Brady craze. 2) The Bowl was right around the corner (in Houston) and I wasn't able to go!! Ugh. But, Arthur was excited because his beloved Hawks made it all the way, so that made it all better.

I planned a pretty extensive game day menu, even though we had no where to go and no one to join us at the house, other than the twinks. Our bellies were full, which helped our heavy hearts after the game. Needless to say, the Hawks lost. :(

Dirty Bird Wings - smoky chicken wings glazed with a peach harissa sauce

Bacon 'n Beer Sliders - beef sliders loaded with bacon jam, topped with aged white cheddar and beer caramelized onions

Hot 'Lanta Fries - thin sliced sweet potatoes with paprika and a hint of cayenne

Blitz Balls - deep fried mashed potatoes balls loaded with cheddar, bacon, and chives

Peach Bour-Gin Kickers - fizzy bourbon and gin cocktail, sweetened with peach juice and topped with a jalapeño slice

Arthur and I had a chance to visit the Dallas Museum of Art for a pre-Valentine's Day weekend getaway. We actually had one of our first dates there so it was fun to go back together and explore.

We aren't cultured enough to really know about the art, so we spent the majority of our time laughing at what we thought looked like penises (sorry kids), wandering into restricted areas, and taking photos for the gram

We walked around Klyde Warren Park, and surprisingly, the weather was gorgeous! We had popsicles from Steel City Pops (I had the Creamy Coconut pop... omg sooooo good!!), ate asian fusion sammies and tacos from the local food truck, and watched some impromptu break dancing in the gallery area.

I love the cultural vibe I get when being around big city dwellers. Such a drastic change from the laid-back hum-drum atmosphere of Funky Town.

Later that weekend, we went out to brunch at The Social House Fort Worth, which is over rated if you ask me. But, they loaded me up with Pineapple Mimosas so I wasn't complaining for long.

Right across the street from the restaurant was a funky little chocolate shop that we fell in love with! And, they let us taste anything we wanted! That's probably the reason why we fell in love.

I found some chocolate olive oil - yes, you read that correctly - and couldn't resist making these Salted Olive Oil Chocolate Muffins. It was well worth it, too!

I found a cool little spot on my way home from work and begged Arthur to go take pictures with me. He got a new camera, but it's old to the rest of the world. It's a 90s film-only 3D camera. It's actually pretty cool because it has multiple lenses, each used to get a different angle of the same shot. He got it so that he could post GIFs to his instagram feed and has been overly excited about it ever since he found it on Offer Up.

So I figured, "why not use it on a giant monkey graffiti wall?!"

I didn't realize the monkeys symbolized 'speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil'. Did you? My amazing hubby picked up on that one! I married him for his intuitiveness, obviously.

Potty training is almost done! I've got one of the munchkins all trained up, but the other is holding onto to her Pull Ups with closed fists and an open bladder, literally. I think it's somewhat of a comfort for her, but I'm trying to nip it in the bud, and quick! I can't take much more of the diaper-changing life. Do you have any tips on getting her trained? I've realized that it's hard for me not to compare her to her sister, because it seems that what worked for one definitely has not worked for the other. Just yesterday I walked into a bathroom with poop on the floor.

Oh, the joys of motherhood!

Catch up with me and tell me what you were up to all month. Hopefully, you got a little more R&R than I did! Hear from you soon, okay love? Lots of smooches!!
